Kelly and Jake and their two kids (and kitty!) live in a two-bedroom, 604-square-foot apartment.
Before ever moving into their home, the couple knew that they would be using transforming furniture to maximize their space. So, while on the hunt for a new home, the couple planned where they would incorporate wall beds to maximize their square footage – creating work and living spaces that could only exist with the help of multifunctional furniture.
Their kids share a 130 square foot bedroom that also serves as a playroom thanks to the LGS wall bed system that can be put away during the day and has shelving on the front to keep books and toys. Kelly and Jake finished off the room by painting the wall in chalkboard paint, giving the kids their own space to play, read, get creative and — of course — sleep.
In the 120-square foot master bedroom, the couple sleeps on a Nuovoliola wall bed. With a sofa on the front, the Nuovoliola allows them to use the space as an additional living room or study when the bed is up. Their biggest tip? “Storage, storage, storage.” Cabinetry and shelving hide the clutter that accumulates with a growing family. Closet systems, shelving, and cabinets provide ample space can be created for every member of the family – in every room.
