Today we have a few words from a guest blogger, Resource Furniture co-owner Steve Spett! Steve shares his recent, positive customer relationship experience and how it was very much like the experiences that every single member of the Resource Furniture team strives to provide to our loyal shoppers.
Recently my family and I came home from a short trip to find that the heat in our home was not operating.
It was quite chilly outside and the temperature in the house had dropped to a cool 57 degrees.
Mind you, being a manly man, I don’t mind having the house this chilly but looking at my three daughters and wife who are definitely not manly men I knew something would have to be done.
Of course being that it was Sunday night I had no hopes of actually getting the house heated. But I called my heating and air conditioning company – Keil Heating And Air Conditioning in Riverdale, NJ. I got their answering service, left a message and lo and behold an actual person called me back about 10 minutes later. Imagine my shock. This was not a medical emergency – just a man trying to appease the four women he lives with. The tech on the phone patiently walked me through a couple of things and we figured out that the blower motor was probably broken but he would give all the information to the service department and that I should call in the morning.
Sure enough, I called the next morning at 7:30 AM and the service person had all of my information at hand, scheduled a time to come (TODAY!!!) and informed me that there would be no charge because the unit I purchased from them was still under warranty.
Happy to report that as of 2:30 this afternoon the heat was working.

But then it dawned on me. Resource Furniture is just like Keil Heating and Air Conditioning. We know the names of all our customers, we have a very live person answering the phone (believe me…call her and see for yourself), a friendly and knowledgeable staff ready and able to assist you with your purchase and a lifetime warranty on many of the products we sell.
I could not think of any other way of doing business. I am certain if you visit any of the Resource Furniture showrooms you’ll find your experience to be as enjoyable as mine was with Keil.
