Wilmer Valderrama Surprises His Best Friend
Resource was honored Drew and Scott from the Property Brothers sourced our wall beds for their project with Wilmer Valderrama. Wilmer began this project to give back to Tadao, his best friend of more than 20 years to transform his unfinished garage into a flex space. Tadao had recently lost several loved one dues to illness, but his home has always been a space for his large Samoan family. We helped make the space function as a place for his family and guests to work, play, and stay. Let’s check out the project!
Hidden Functionality
Resource supplied two Circe wall beds to this garage conversion, providing sleeping spaces for four additional guests. Equipped with built-in shelving above the wall beds, the Circe wall beds blend seamlessly into the space, making them disappear when not in use. In the center, the Property Brothers added an additional cabinet with pop-up TV to create a wall-to-wall multifunctional dream.
The Rest of the Space
There were two important factors when creating this space:
- Creating a space that his friends and family can enjoy comfortably
- Incorporating his Samoan heritage throughout in the design
Drew and Scott created a kitchenette in this flex space so that guests could easily grab a snack or drink without having to go back into the house. In the bathroom, they weaved in Polynesian influences with a warm orange patterned shower tile reminiscent of an island sunrise.
