Space-Saving Design at Armani Casa Miami by YZ Design Atrium

Modern living room at Armani Casa Miami designed by YZ Design Atrium, featuring ocean views, soft neutral seating, and colorful abstract art in a serene, minimalist space.

In this Miami waterfront residence, livability and elegance effortlessly coexist. Designed by Yoshida + Zanon Design Atrium (YZDA), this second home proves that high design can also be highly functional. Here, natural materials, refined finishes, and space-saving systems converge to create a family retreat that’s as flexible as it is beautiful.

A Vision of Livable Luxury

Satomi Yoshida-Katz, founder of YZ Design Atrium, seated in the Armani Casa Miami condominium she designed, featuring neutral furnishings and modern art.

Led by Satomi Yoshida-Katz, founder and principal designer of YZ Design Atrium, this 3,200-square-foot condominium was envisioned as a second-home retreat that balances art, wellness, and comfort. The interiors feature American walnut, marble, and subtle matcha-green accents—an homage to Satomi’s Japanese-inspired aesthetic. Smart-home systems and dynamic lighting allow the clients’ art collection and architecture to shine without distraction.

Within this refined framework, Resource Furniture’s multifunctional designs support daily life seamlessly, ensuring each room flexes to meet the family’s rhythm—busy mornings, weekend guests, or quiet evenings in.

The Boys’ Room: Flexible by Design

Transforming boys’ room by YZ Design Atrium at Armani Casa Miami with Resource Furniture wall bunk beds, blue sofa, and built-in storage for a multifunctional kids’ space.

Two young brothers share a bedroom that doubles as a play zone, study nook, and guest retreat. To make the most of every inch, YZDA turned to Resource Furniture’s space-saving kids’ furnituretransforming wall beds and integrated storage that adapt to the family’s needs.

The room includes two primary beds for the boys and two additional bunks tucked neatly within the same footprint—ready for friends during weekend sleepovers. When folded away, the space opens up for play or study. The clean lines, built-in shelving, and concealed mechanisms allow the room to stay tidy and sophisticated, even amid daily activity.

“We are constantly seeking inventive makers and partners whose solutions help our clients live better. In the boys’ room, a space-maximizing, storage-first approach allowed us to layer sleep, study, and play within the same footprint while keeping the floor open and the room calm.”

The neutral finishes and blue tones of the furnishings connect the children’s space to the water and sky just outside the window. The result is a room that feels youthful yet refined, one that will evolve as the boys grow.
