At the center of the exhibit was The Open House: an interactive, 1,000 sf prototype apartment with moveable walls and modular furnishings, designed by Resource Furniture and architect Pierluigi Colombo of Clei, s.r.l. The home’s modular furnishings played a starring role, demonstrating how a single space could transform to accommodate vastly different living arrangements–from roommates to multigenerational families to empty nesters–with elegance and ease.
